1.3 gain
Gain is a directional brightness measurement relative to a reference surface. A 1.3 figure suggests more on-axis brightness than a 1.0 reference, but it is not a universal promise that every setup will look 30% brighter. Projector output, room reflections, seating angle and calibration all affect what reaches your eyes.
170° viewing angle
A wide published viewing angle is useful in rooms with side seating. Different manufacturers sometimes report viewing angles in different ways, so treat cross-brand angle numbers as helpful context rather than perfect apples-to-apples laboratory results.
4K / 8K readiness
Projection screens do not have pixels in the way a television panel does. “4K/8K ready” generally indicates that the surface texture is intended to preserve fine image detail rather than visibly disrupting it. Your projector, source, focus and viewing distance still determine the detail you actually see.
Long, short and UST compatibility
NothingProjector explicitly lists all three throw categories. UST is the most demanding because the light strikes the screen at a steep angle, making wall alignment and surface flatness especially important. A compatible surface is only one part of a successful UST installation.
