The screen does not generate resolution
Your projector and source create the image. The screen’s job is to reflect it without adding visible texture, sparkle, moiré or unevenness that obscures detail.
What to look for
- A smooth surface appropriate for the projector type.
- Good tensioning and flatness.
- A material that does not introduce obvious texture at your seating distance.
- Correct focus and projector alignment.
- Reasonable viewing distance for the resolution.
8K-ready claims need context
An “up to 8K” label is not a promise that every 8K projector will look better on that screen than on another. It indicates manufacturer positioning around surface fineness and compatibility.
