When the S7 frame is the main attraction
The S7’s published 0.28-inch bezel is a concrete design advantage for buyers who want a near-edge-free visual presentation and have precise projector alignment. A very thin bezel leaves less black border to hide slight overscan or alignment errors.
When 1.3 gain is more interesting
NothingProjector’s published 1.3 peak gain is higher than the S7 white material’s 1.1. In a light-controlled room that may help with perceived brightness on-axis, but it should not override room geometry or surface-flatness considerations.
UST setup warning
Both brands list UST compatibility. That does not make installation automatic. With a UST projector, small screen waves or cabinet-height errors can distort the image. Build the screen position around the projector’s placement chart before fixing anything to the wall.
Choose by frame aesthetic and room needs
Choose the S7 if the published 7 mm bezel and larger size catalog are priorities. Consider NothingProjector if 100″ or 120″ fits and you prefer its higher published gain plus 170° viewing-angle claim.
